I was told by a local shop that Ford Racing gears were made by Precision Gear. Can anyone confirm this.

made by Motive....they part number has a M on the end.
I have one of the last sets of American made FRPP 4.10's in my trunk.
I have the MOtives in my rear...not problems. dead silent and they rea great.

in otherwords we should just buy motive and save a few bucks or what? What about those new coated gears, are they any better?
Question 1, yes, exactly! Also motive gears, shave the outside of the ring gear so they a few pound lighter than the FRPP gears.
Question 2, jury is still out.
