Well, I finally got a few free hours today and finished the front.

I cut one coil off and I am using top and bottom stock isos.

I realize this is not low enough for most people, but it's exactly the drop I was looking for. This car is my summer daily driver and I like not having to worry about scraping. I wanted a small drop just for looks that wouldn't mess with my handling much. I'm happy. Gotta do cut the rears now along with installing a BF diff brace and irs crossmember brace next.

Anyway, here's some pics. Man the rear end looks crazy high now! Oh and sorry guys, my pimp wood paneling is not for sale so dont' ask.

what the hell are you talking about. I have cut the springs on a few of my mustangs and never had a problem. and I have herd of a lot of other's that have done the same with no problems. maybe you are referring to some of the import guy's that cut there springs in half to have a low rider.

dumbass, theyre linear so cutting stock or even most aftermarket mustang springs is perfectly fine and imo my cut springs ride better and sit better than h&r SS's

you can cut a certain portion of a spring without it affecting the handling of the vehicle. Me personally, I rather purchase a set of springs. My dad cut the spring on his Mark VIII and it did very well. He ended up getting a lil more greedy with it and cut some more but ended up going to far. Seems like the most you want to cut is 1 coil.

Looks good! Now get the rears done! :D

...and I still spent the $$ for a proper suspention. I dont care if the springs are "designed to be cut, "cutable" or "ok to cut" I will never ride a car w/ cut springs.

And....I would never drive an Escort. :lol1:

So...I guess that leaves me in my Cobra with my cut springs and you driving around in your Escort with high dollar mods.

Yeah. I'm ok with that. :coolman:

yeah im not a big fan of cut springs. The Springs rates aren't correct and i've heard people with some handling problems/sounds from cutting springs. Just spend 250 and get some H&Rs

Front looks about perfect for my taste as well, I think you have just motivated me to spend a few hours out in the barn next weekend. Nice job!
