I read the sticky, I'm not complaining. I'm curious as to whether driving without a front plate will affect my insurance. A friend who is a cop tells me it will, however I have a hard time believing something so minor could raise my rates.

Anyone know? Tomorrow is my deadline as to whether I appeal/pay it

Front Plate violation is not a moving violation and thus you should not incur points. Why not just call your insurance company and ask them?

That's the plan in the morning, I just didn't have a whole lot of time to spare, and wanted to figure it out asap.

Thanks

Nope, it's a No point summons and it will not raise your insurance rates.

Just pay the fine and either mount the plate or accept that this will be a common thing from now on.
