Just got my car back from the dealer for the front end creaking noise. For those that don't have this I'll explain. With the car stopped or at low speeds a creaking noise is heard from the front end when turning the wheel right. It is very obvious if you have this prob.

Well, the fix was to replace a sleeve on the rack and retorque some bolts. No more creaking noise!

I'm interested in doing this as a DIY project. Care to elaborate on the "sleeve" and which bolts?

Thanks!

Dunno, had the dealer do it under warranty and the tech who did the work wasn't there when I picked it up. But the svc mgr said it is a documented fix, I assume a TSB.

I think I have the same thing developing. I'm not too excited about taking my car in to have it looked at, but as I notice the creek more I'll look into it.

Thx for the info.

Thanks, I'll query my local dealer on the fix...
