Front End Alignment - Advice

Looking for some advice.............
Put new rubber on my ride. Went from stockers (F1) to BFG G-force Sport.
The shop did a 4-wheel alignment. The foreman told me the alignment was WAY out -- both front and rear. It is logical as the passenger side tire inner tread was gone and the outer still had meat.
Before the tire change, the car seemed to be very responsive-- small change in wheel, quick, big change in direction. Driving at 80mph, the car was dead straight! No wander, no odd condition.
New tires and new "fixed" front end and rear end alignment. Car drive dead straight at 80mph. Problem.....it is not nearly as responsive as before but seems erratic. Small change in wheel, no response. A little more of the same change in the wheel, HUGE change in direction -- almost uncontrollable.
Question is.....Tires? Alignment? Updated Alignment specs from Ford?
