front brake options

I want to see if Cobra R Brakes will fit my stock 99 wheels. I searched several forums and found that the 17" wheel is not a problem but I need to have 50mm (1.97 inches) from the rotor to the back of the wheel. I just checked my wheel and it looks like I have 2 inches at the outside edge of the rotor and 1.5" at the inside of the rotor. Is this a no go?

What are folks running for big brakes? Should I just get full tilt boogie's light weight rotors and call it a day?

FYI....they will not fit stock 99 wheels. I am still not sure what I want to do for a braking mod????

What do you do with the car? Stock rotors and upgraded pads go a long way. I'm running drilled and slotted rotors for the bling with Brembo pads and they work well. Even when running through a canyon. If I was going to hit the autocross I'd change to blank rotors.
