I'm running a Procharger setup on my 2012 GT that uses a D1sc head unit, race intercooler, wastegate, and makes 18psi using a 3.55 pulley. With a 7.65 crank pulley/3.55 blower pulley x step up ratio of 4.10 and spinning to 7600rpm the D1sc is being spun at 67,147rpm. The D1sc's max speed is rated to 62,000rpm.
The car made 868whp and 755wtq with this setup on a dynojet. The car was run in 4th gear (1.32 on an MT82) and on drag tires. It's been 9.6 at 147mph when making 825whp 724wtq.
I'm installing an F1a-94 with a 4.13 blower pulley. Using the same crank pulley at 7.65/4.13 x a 5.40 step up ratio at 7600rpm this blower will be at 76,018rpm and it's at the max impeller speed also. I will keep the wastegate set at 18psi.
What should I expect when going from a small blower maxed out to a race blower making the boost easier? I've searched this topic and mostly turbocharger info comes up. With using the same boost level the F1a-94 should have a much cooler/denser air charge but it also takes more power to spin. Will the new head unit make a lot more power on the same boost?
Thanks!
Andrew
