1 wheel hop and BOOM! The diff cover was shattered.. what do we need to replace in there? Cover, add a diff brace, fluid, and what other possible things to change? What kind of fluid it take? 90 wt? Thanks.

I'd replaced the diff bushings too. I went with MM parts and it also comes with the bushing tool.
mmmmm... BF IRS brace would of saved it... good luck to your friend

The cover on the right is what I'm using on a Cobra sourced IRS in a Lotus 7. I have a spare stock cover from a 2000 R if your friend is interested as well as the carrier assy. If he needs a housing I can't see any difference between the Cobra housing and a MK VIII housing and though it would be a bit heavier the steel housing from MN!@ Tbird should work as well and probably be a bit stronger.
