Hey guys I thought I would let you know who I hung out with last night. But i'll give you some backround first.
I work at Pro-Action Suspension, we have our own valving for moto-cross suspension and do alot of pro and semi-pro riders stuff. We do have quite a bit of local rec. riders send their stuff in but not for the valving change, usually springs and seals. Well anyway Robbie Knievel (Evel Knievel's Son) has been one of our sponsered riders for quite a long time and has been great for promotion for the company, especially with the A&E reality series that's started a month ago(Knievel's Wild Ride). I guess the stress of the camera crew and everyone being with him caught up and he decided to just go out and visit some people alone. So he takes his HUGE fleetwood RV and starts driving, he was coming near us on the drive from OH to FL. So he called us up friday afternoon and said he was coming. Now my job usually requires shipping out the suspension, invoicing, and sometimes building the valves so I had all that stuff done early so I was cleaning up the shop and I kept on cleaning for a while since RK was coming( floors in the motor department get real dirty...) and he shows up and we talk for a while and give him some of our shirts and hats and fork stickers for some promotion. We talked about the show and how it's going and how his bikes are working for him( all 6 of them) and then we go out to dinner in the owner's Jaguar XJR hehe fun car then just sit around and talk about shit then go back to the shop and dump out his RV then he went on his way to florida to a Disney World appearance.
overall he is a very cool guy and we could tell he was wiped out from the show and just the 24/7 camera crew. I was hoping he his entourage with him because of his 18 yr old daughter Krysten  If you've seen the show you would know, definatly NOT bad looking.
i would say that's not a bad way the spend a friday night!
later all,
Bettner
