Friction modifier in the t56??????

I see allot of people saying they have use friction modifier in the trans... If im thinking correctly wouldnt that work against the synchros and make it harder to engage cause its to slippery?

I was thinking of trying it in mine as i have tried all the fluids and have mtl in it now but still have very notchy bulky shifting and was wondering if the modifier would help

I had modifier in there... drained and refilled with straigh D4

so why did you drain it out? is it any better without it?

nope, it seemed to work ok... but our local oil guru.. cobra 03' said exactly what you said, it could possible have negitive affect over time on the internals of the tranny, so I figured, better to spend $40 now rather than X Thousand later to replace the tranny.
