fragile interior?

hey guys im new to this forum thing but I figure I would give it a try... im wanting to custom dip my interior dash kit. its the piece on the passenger side above the glove box covering the airbag. im just wondering if it pops off with some magic or if I will set my airbag off and kill myself. thanks

I haven't taken apart the 2010+ panel yet, but on the 05-09 the airbag was attached to the cover with a number of metal clips you could bend away to free the two pieces. Not sure if the airbag would function properly if you have to bend those clips a couple times...
