FR-500 Mufflers

Does anybody have a cut-away schematic of an FR-500 muffler?

I was thinking of cutting the muffler open and welding open or removing the trap door for constant straight through exhaust.

Any thoughts on how this might affect below full throttle performance?

You're most likely gonna lose some torque by removing the inner valve.
