I have a 88 GT Vert & live in Houston.
There are quite a few Fox bodies in my area [ s.e. houston ] in great shape.
I was reading a post on another forum & the poster said fox bodies are almost exstinct in his area [ Ohio ]
Just curious do you see many in your hometown & what condition they are in ?

Most of the GT's I see are getting pretty beat up. Lots of them around. The nice ones are really nice. The LX Notch's are getting pretty rare but most look good. I'm still amazed at the prices they are still selling for. Great resale value.

Most of the ones in my area are in good shape except for mines; it looks like sh*t but has never let me down.

See lots of them here. They range in from crappy to amazing. I know a guy with a piece 4 banger and a guy that has a 419 in his. I dated a girl who (as a 2nd car) has an '84 that's white w/ purple pearl has 18inch y2k's and 30k miles on the rebuilt motor immaculate car. There's also a guy with a turbo 302 in his that runs around here somewhere.

I see a few. Most aren't doing too hot, but I see more good foxes than I do new model cobras of any kind.
I brought mine a year ago & it has a nice paint job & tight engine [ stock ]
Foxes are still quite popular here in Houston, but then all Mustangs are here.
I would love to get a 95 or later model within the next year or so.
I brouhgt my wife a car in August, but we had to get a family car because our daughter is growing & we needed more space for now.

There are still plenty down here in Columbus Ohio. I see a nice white vert all the time on my way home from work.

I rarely ever see nice Fox bodies on the road. They have all been butchered up with aftermarket exterior parts or wrecked. I am sure that there are a lot of people who garage them and never bring them out though. I really appreciate when I see a nice fox-body with the stock exterior and original paint color. My buddy has a nice two tone, blue and gray 88' GT but it is starting to look like it needs a restoration. He has over 200k miles on the original motor and it still runs strong.

I don't see many NICE foxes on the road. :(

Most look good here, guess the weather here helps for the paint jobs.
Mine is kept inside during the week & driven maybe twice weekly.
I noticed on some post ,guys winterize theirs in the northern states because of snow & driving hazards.
Mine is at 160,000 & holding.

I see a few. Not as many as I used too. I probably see more LS-1 F-bodies, hell, maybe even more vettes than Fox's.

It seems like a lot of people that I know with LS-1's have race cars. What are their race cars...fox bodies. :D

I don't see many. Occassionally a few. They all mainly look like ass, unkept & umaintained. However, there are a handful of nice ones that are in the area. I like to see the taken care of ones out on the road.... but not the crappy junk. I like to think mine is the prettiest & most cared for in the area. :burnout:

:( What a shame , you can see quite a few on the car lots in my area.
When they are clean, the price range anywhere from 4000.00 to mid 5000.00 mark.
I brought mine from my neighbor at 3000.00, car is in really good condition, although the top was cut when my neighbor brouhgt it.
Some thieves tried to get in it. :(
I plan on getting a new top before spring.

I live in Michigan. If you want one that is rust free and good shape hope ya got some cash cause your gonna need it. I picked up my 4 banger for a grand. It has a rusted out hatch and needed some work on the floor boards. I have a fiberglass hatch so no biggie and had the floorboards repaired for a hundred bucks when I had my cage put in. They guy forgot to charge me so :) . They are not many around here for sale. If they are they are usually modded and beat to hell. They are some in good shape (garage queens) but they want a premium for them.

I looked for a couple months when I seen mine and said F'k it and just bought that one. It need work but I am getting the car painted regardless of the shape anyway. So no biggie on some spots, the body is straight. Thats all i cared about.

As far as seeing them on the road, ya getting alot rarer. Used to see alot right outta highschool (96') but very rare to see a nice one go by.

I was just thinking about this today while I was sitting at the bank. There was a very clean Notch in front of me in line. I realized that clean Fox Bodies are becoming more rare around here. As already said, many are either beaten up or wrecked. It sure is a shame.
