Found my IRS problem. PICS inside

So i found whats making the clunk sound. The rear diff. mount it sheared off from top to bottom. Thankfully the carrier looks good with no cracks or anything.

Gues its from all the n/a POWA, no but seriously anyone have any idea why this would happen. Is this a part i can get from ford?

I would figure you could order it but if you can't you should be able to hammer it back together and weld it up. Or you could always fab up a solid mount like this.

Well since the front bushings are alluminum i guess a solid rear mount wouldn't make much difference as far as NVH.

That's pretty strange. The rear diff mount seemed quite beefy when I had apart the IRS. I would never have thought that it would break like this.

My IRS doesn't hop. The car was actually parked. I went to back out and heard BOOM!..It was probably already beat up from before i put bushings in the irs. Also its an 03 rearend no telling how the guy before me treated it.
