forged or not?

someone the other day told me that 5.0s came with forged pistons and i didnt think they did....did they ever?

Yes up until 93 then they switched to hyper pistons. Pretty decent TRW forged pieces were put in too. They can hold a little more boost than the later motors stock, but still any serious setup should have upgraded internals. Nice to have right outta the box... wish Ford still used this same quality type pistons in they're hi-po N/A engines.
