What I would like is an IAT1 that matches ambient all the time or close to it. Going through a drive through at McDonalds and etc, I see temps as high as 140 on the gauge cluster. This is the temp measured by the MAF sensor, not after the intercooler, IAT2. A true cold air intake. Don't know if that is possible.
The only way you'll get IAT1 to match ambient temperatures is to move the air inlet of the complete inlet air system from under the hood. Unfortunately there isn't really any good way to do this with modern cars and a modern style supercharger that moves air from end to end versus the old style that moves air from top to bottom. What I'm trying to say is we can't do a scoop in the middle of the hood to allow air entry to the engine that looks pleasing to the eye with these modern cars.
