yes, im not guaranteeing the 500 will win, but im willing to make the bet i did. If you look at the majority of Demon owners, and lets even give them the special "stock" race prep, ie seats removed, mirrors out, race fuele, big&littles etc, but still not pullied, aftermarket tune ect.. MOST of them, on their BEST runs, in the BEST conditions, are mid 130 trapping cars, we shall say 135, because its average again. Now that is absolute best, with plenty of cooldown, probably plenty of ice in their tanks, and exceptional DA Now, I KNOW the GT500 will do at LEAST 132 on 93 octane, I know it, id bet that again with anyone. In addition to the advantages i listed before, you have to think about the race, 45-150 we shall say. and from a roll.. They have to get there, during that drive, demons is getting hotter and hotter, robbing some of those 8xx rwhp's.. if they want to warm the tires up, which they should, taking more hp.. if they dont, theyve got a lot of tq to overcome with stocky tires, either way its going against best interest. So that HP advantage, is getting smaller and smaller the longer this takes to happen. the gt500 only needs to overcome a what, 6mph difference. Now the race itself, GT500, geared for that shit. demon.. geared for the 1/4, so once the cars get past 80-100, gearing advantage really takes over, where as the demon is on its downward curve from 100-140 we'll say, meaning its super hot, its super heavy, it wants the race to be over. Tthe 500 is just ramping up and ready to pull all the way to 180. thanks to, well, the car, coolers, rpm, dct, gears, aero, less weight etc etc.. I bet the walking past happens right there, just from a #s difference.. and then, lets throw some ms109 in the gt500.. you dont think there is a 20hp gain there as well, at least? That 6 mph difference to get ahead, was reduced to 3 on mechanics alone, and now down to 1 with good fuel. Which an already drivers race, just became a real drivers race. I do roll racing for a side-living, you get 2 cars within 1 mph of eachother, its a consistancy and driver race, that aint a hp race.. I bet, if you WANTED to, you could gain 40hp from some c16, but your risking your plugs and 02s at that point ( again, this is all because stock tune gt500, easily swap to e85, but aftermarket tune needed) if the demon isnt out 4-5 cars from the get-go of a roll race, its done before it starts. if its any less than that, ive got kaneda's $ in the bank all day, and pays for my pulley tune injectors to really start raping demons when HP s equal
