There is a cruise/race event coming up for DFWstangs members that they are renting the track for. Lots of grudge matches.

All you need to get in is you have to been a member for at least four months.

Here's the info :

* May 20, 2007
*Gates open 10am, Racing starts at 10:30
Texas Raceway, Kennedale Texas

DFWStangs Fastest Street car

The rules are simple -

There will be a cruise to the track, The meeting place to be determined. (about 20 miles)

(I'm looking to get us a police escort for this event as well)

If you are brave enough / dumb enough to drive it on the street for 20 or 30 miles then it's good enough for me. I don't care if you drive on slicks, I don't care if you drive with open headers, I don't care if you have A/C or P/S... I don't care period. If you can't keep up with the group and the lead car then you aren't a STREET car - we will NOT be speeding. We will probably assign a "special" number at the breakfast place to put on your car so that we will know who is in the street cruise/race.
All you have to do is make 2 or 3 passes (haven't determined that yet) with out trouble. You can inflate / deflate tires. You can add fuel, you can open the hood, you can do whatever - I DON'T CARE.

I am, in no way, advocating that you break the law to race in our cruise. If you get pulled over, get tickets, go to jail - it's your responsibility.
We've already received inquires about some pretty good sponsorship, It will be better than ever - once again.

**KODFWS**
1 Round of qualifying, 8 car qualified field. If 8 cars or less show up to qualify - we'll draw numbers and start eliminations immediately. The only 'rule' is - if you can't make the call to the lanes, your competitor will get a competition bye run and you will forfeit.

*Anything goes
*Door cars only
*Any tires
*Any Weight
*Blowers, Turbos, Nitrous, Naturally Aspirated or all of the above.

**Minimum length of membership on DFWStangs of 4 months from the date of the cruise if you want to run in either class**

TNT the rest of the day in between classes!

**If you are wanting to sponsor the cruise in any way, contact me via PM's**

There will be 50/50 tickets again, Tshirts to be thrown in the stands, and prizes!!!

I'll post the details as I finalize them. I've been requested to book the date for the next Fall Cruise as well - There will be magazine coverage at that event! (I don't know specifics yet, but when I do I'll post them)

The post rule will not be in effect this time around, instead it's going to be a length of membership with DFWStangs - You must have joined the site by 2/20/2007 to run in any of the money events (for this cruise).

As you all know by now, I am a stickler for safety. DO NOT ASK TO RUN YOUR CAR IF YOU KNOW IT'S NOT LEGAL. If you make a pass and you are not legal you will be asked to park it. No, I can't see everyone breaking safety rules - but the ones I see will be talked to.

*Street tire cars are asked to drive around the water boxes, not THROUGH them.
*If you break on the track pull to the side so that you don't spill fluid all the way down the track. (just don't pull over like slowbrick did)
*Once the rules are posted, they are final. (changes with a majority vote are considered)
*If you are leaking, you will be pushed off of the track - it's not personal.
*If you are driving in an "unsafe" manor, even on the track, you will be asked to leave.

- another turbostang production

PRECISELY :D

Your argument makes NO sense at all Sheldon. I'm not bashing you or being a smartass, I'm being serious.
Termy's powerbands with the stock Eaton are mainly down low and fall off on the big end.
Blower cars with centrifcal design blowers make their power up top in the powerband. By design make power all the way to redline with RPM.

The 281 modular motor made a small amount of torque in N/A form. Which is why Ford went with the positive displacement style blower for your cars.

I have more displacement then you, in a lighter car. So your theory of walkin me on the big end is hogwash.

Your car has NO chance of walking by mine on the big end. That's crazy talk.

I understand this...I just don't feel your car has the power, centrifugal, twinscrew, turbo, or whatever, to keep my car off in 3rd gear.

Maybe if you held me off until 4th, but I think the car will move around you in 3rd. Especially the way your car spins all the way until 100 mph.

It will be fun to find out this summer. I'm takin it out to Gearheads to get it tuned properly with a chip so it will stop that annoying surging it's doing at idle at the moment. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I've got an interview on Monday for a good job and I'm really hoping it goes well.

Do you have finals this week?

As long as your car doesnt die at idle I like the surging it goes well with the noise your supercharger makes.

It just needs to be tuned badly. It has a somewhat larger cam which makes vaccum a little difficult which the supercharger is dependant on. So they are fighting eachother and really need a proper tune.

As soon as I'm employed again, I'm gonna get her tuned.

Pimping, good luck, I got an interview on Tuesday, for part time summer help at sears..floor salesman, electronics...if you get that new job come buy a TV from me.

Finals are over, I'll be out next week, unless I'm working, then I'll just be late.

The SC depends on vaccum? It runs off the crank... get a real computer in there and stop fu ck ing around... The second time I blew my heads off the car with the fu ck en EEC, I was maxing out my CC for a FAST... f u ck the A9L with a large boosted motor, its a pile of s hit...

BTW my car has 4 inches of vaccum at cold idle and 7 hot... it doesn't surge.:poke:

You missed my point.

Your car cannot be used as an example to mine as I have a stock displacement. I'm not gonna spend 1500 bucks on a FAST when I don't need it yet. A simple tune on the A9L will work for now.

Dont tell me Cali is already turning you into a prick. :nonono:
