I am in the process of deleting my AC. I have already removed the condensor and have the tools to remove the lines and then will remove the condensor.
I have found 2 ways to remove the condensor.
1. An idler pulley that replaces the condensor and leaves the stock size belt in place.
2. The Ford kit that moves the power steering pump to the condensor location, like how the car would be if it had no AC from the factory. This requires a new/shorter belt.
What methods have you guys used and what were the pros and cons of each method? I want to get an idea of reliability or issues that either of these methods might cause.
Right now I am leaning toward using the idler pulley. It will cost a little more for the kit, but then I don't have to buy a belt and no moving any other parts.
