1983 Mustang Coupe - Street-Legal, Open-Track, NASA American Iron series

Street-legal road-racing 1983 Mustang coupe; meticulously designed and built over a ten-year period. A strong 302 engine, big brakes, light weight, and go-kart handling make this car an absolute blast to drive. Very well sorted. Drive to the track, the grocery store, or cross-country. HVAC system removed to save weight. Features an extended wheelbase with carbon-fiber front fenders. Beautiful two-tone paint applied by Capley Paint and Body. A growing family and career priorities has convinced me to sell. $23,000 firm. Please, only serious inquiries with cash or certified funds.

Very cool car. Would love to get into racing with something like this. Looks like you've put a TON of work into the car. Seems to have paid off. What's the power/weight at the tires?

Last buyer didn't pan out, so still for sale. This would be a great car to have before the next open track season begins...hint...hint :)

I don't know it's power or weight yet, as I haven't had it on the dyno or the scales. I estimate 2900 lbs, since it still has all the glass and the doors aren't gutted, but that's just a conservative estimate.

It probably makes 350 horsepower to the tires, which is also conservative. I've tuned the carb to 12:1 with a wideband.

I haven't had it on the track yet, as I haven't had time this year. However, it's very well sorted, since I've driven it on the street and sorted out all the bugs. It's truly a "get in it and drive" car. It's ready for the track, or a 1000-mile road trip.

One heck of a transformation, a lot of time and love went into this Chick Magnet. Whoever buys this is one lucky individual!
