FoMoCo (Motorcraft) 5w-50 full synthetic and Ford Racing filter

Hi everybody! I am looking for opinions on the Ford Factory oil and filter.
I got my first oil change yesterday, my only option from the SVT technicians is this combination.
I understand that many users prefer amsoil, but can these other oils be used and not void my warranty?
I have heard many bad things about the Ford oil, and am kind of wondering why Ford would not sell the best oil for the Shelby?

If you haven't already done so, recommend you peruse Unleashed Beast's Oil Analysis thread which contains quite a bit of objective oil analysis results about various brands and viscosities.

Not worth the hassle if the engine blows for whatever reason. I promise, if you use another oil than recommended, they will try to blame the oil for the damage. I would suggest using factory recomended oil until the warranty runs out, then run what you want.
