Just posted this question on modfords as well. I will just cut and paste:
Guys, I just had my stock flywheel resurfaced. I am doing a clutch swap (going with a fidanza 4.3 26 spline clutch kit, and d & d input shaft). My question is, the shop said they had to take 38 thousandths off of the steel insert. It is nearly flush with the outside part, when there used to be a noticable step. Is this flywheel going to be okay to use? I have the steeda double hook quadrant and steeda firewall adjuster, which i thought would compensate for any height difference in the flywheel surface. Am i correct in that assumption? Thanks for the help
