Flex pipe leaking! Advice, please!

44mm Tial open on cold starts???! Advice, please!

Ok, what I thought was the flex pipe leaking turned out to be the wastegate. When I start up the car on cold mornings,the wastegate opens for a little bit...is this normal?

I have a manual adjuster and a 7lb spring that make 12psi together, but it shouldn't be opening till is sees that much pressure, right? Just a little weird to me.

It seems to stop after about 20-30secs or so. Could my Cat be clogged already?? I was running super fat till I got a better tune on the car for about 1000miles or so...

You don't need a flex pipe if you have solid mounts...

Ok...I paid closer attention today and broke out the flash light this morning...it was actually coming from the wastegate...I don't have it fed back into the down pipe and it appears to open for a little bit in the morning when it's cold out. Is that normal for a 44mm Tial with a manual boost adjuster??

Flex does seem to leak just a touch too, but I think I can cure that with some header wrap or exhaust sealer wrap. I may take it out eventually.
