just got back from my first ride in the gt500 with the 2.9 whipple which was tuned by Lund. i have been out of the car for a good 15 mins now and i still cant stop smiling. the car is pretty retarded now. it is putting out 19psi of boost and absolutly destroys the tires 1st-3rd. the 18" wheels are no longer going to be an option even with the 305 series drag radials. there must be 200-300' of rubber over by waynes house and a very decent amount on hwy p. at first i was thinking. man there really isnt that big of a difference between this and my steggy. then i looked in the rear view and saw 2 bus legnths of mickey tompson on the road. so the next time i rolled into it alittle slower. and the car took off like a rocket. i am extremly happy with how the car turned out. now im going to have to get a set of bogarts thou. so i can get some more tire/sidewall on this thing.

the 4.30 rear gears have to go. they are WAY to much for the car now. with the old set up they were great. now im going to switch it over to a 3.73

With the torque hitting so hard now, you should think about 3.27s.

I havent seen 3.27's in a GT500 but we do have a member with a 03/04 with a 3.4L Whipple/E85 700rwhp. He did 3.27's and loves them.

Im planning on the same setup in the next year or so and Im gonna give them a try.

Cant remember the guys name. Maybe he'll chime in.
