First ever detailing job of my car - Lots of pictures

For the first time I decided to detail my car because the weather was so nice in NY. Wow! Now I understand why a shop charges so much to do it. It took me a little bit over 4 hours to finish the job: washing, cleaning, polishing, waxing. I am pretty happy with the result especially for my first try. I took some pictures afterward and of course I followed the advice of 50 Deep by taking the pictures from a distance. Thanks, buddy. ^^^ Not at all but I will take that as a compliment. I love the way some Roush cars look and I love the cobra. This car started as a regular GT and ended as a customized one.

After washing the car, I used the Meguiar Quik Detailer with the clay bar to clean up the paint, then their polishing compound and I finished it with their NXT tech wax 2.0. It was a lengthy process being my first time and doing it by hands. It was a learning experience.

but lol at 4 hours being a lengthy process. I've spend entire weekends polishing and buffing mine. But I guess I was going for paint correction.

Yeah. 4 hours is QUICK. I spend 4 hours before even getting a 1/4 way through the process (wash-clay-iron x-wash-polish-sealant/coating-interior). I'm hoping to get some nice weather this weekend to break out the Griots 6"

I would agree but such a pain to keep clean. I wish there was a product to keep dust away from the car

Enough mods to get me in trouble. Next step will be a supercharger.

You guys are pro. This was my first time. Honestly, I couldn't wait to finish. And by the way, I did not clean the interior nor the engine bay.

My car was painted last fall and hasn't been driven that much. Therefore the paint is in excellent condition except for a couple of rock chips at the front edge of the hood that needs to be addressed.
