Went do a baseline dyno session before I install the Boss 302 manifold and DSS aluminum driveshaft. Numbers were 391hp and 413 tq on 89 street tune through BAMA. I forgot to switch to my race tune when I got to the shop. I was a walk in. Pull was in 5th for 6M, I didn't notice I took the pic of the MPH graph.

It was a Dynocom with Eddy Brake set up like the MustangDyno. It's a new shop and everything was calibrated within the last month. My buddy ran his corvette on there and it was very close to what he pulled on a Mustangdyno, just a couple hp and tq difference.

Man not to be a dick, but that curve looks like crap. Assuming tq/hp cross at 5,250rpm, looks like you make peak power at like 5300rpm and falls off after that.

It really shouldn't be doing that at all. Stock intake should make power til at least 6400rpm.
Mine, and I've seen others that have a smooth curve and make power til 6700rpm. Then I've seen some really choppy ass ones like yours.

I think Bama tunes make decent PEAK hp gains, but they're curves look like absolute shit.

The power plateaus at that RPM but doesn't drop off until just after 6500, I thought that is what they did with the stock manifold?

It's dropping off after 5400rpm. Shouldn't be doing that. Here's how mine looked on the stock intake

Isn't the Bama "street" tune supposed to give more low/mid power at the cost of some top end?

I think you're right. That tune is supposed to be for street drivability and not outright power. With the race tune it would have continued to make power higher up.

I've seen plenty of their race tunes do the same exact thing.

I guarantee you Bama doesn't adjust VCT from there street to their "race" tune. Probably timing changes and that's it.

Well I will find out Monday hopefully. I just finished installing my DSS aluminum DS, Boss manifold will be delivered tomorrow and I will install new tunes. DS was pretty easy, even on my back.
