Sounds a lot more like the GT500 we all know and love... But I would like to see a bigger blower. Doesn't whipple have a 3.1 or 3.3? The 2.8L is a great SC, though.
Source?Inside info now suggest 5.8 trinity and why not it's easy to get them to 750/800 hp my guess is a reworked 5.8 with a 2.8 blower

If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on a twin 62mm 5.0...just saying.

If that is the case, wouldn't that go against the grain from what Ford has done since 2007 introducing the Shelby GT500 to it's mustang line-up? Ford has always implemented a different motor into the Shelby GT500 than it has any of it's other available mustangs of the year. If Ford decides on a 5.0L Coyote platform, (which I'm personally not against) what would set it apart from a GT? Twin turbos and maybe some beefed up internals?
Just basing this on historical values from Ford.
