Just bought my new 97 Cobra. Ive been snakeless for about 3 months now and it has sucked. Car is almost stock, has eibochs, pro-5.0, svo side exhaust, and pullies. Here are some pictures.

Well i dont have alot of money rightnow but i do have 4.10s and a bassani X pipe sitting in my garage, just got to get around to installing then x pipe and getting the gears installed.

Yup. The side exhaust is basically a catback but the piping is different and it is routed out the side.

Yeah I knew it serves as a catback. For some reason I thought that you could only use a midpipe made by the same company that makes the side exhaust.

No.

Once the exhaust gasses exit through the manifold (1) they go into a midpipe (2) and out through the mufflers and tips (3), aka the catback, from the catalytic convertor to the tailpipes. The cats are found on the midpipe and it's a 3 part system for simplicity. :beer:

The X-pipe goes before the catback. The "catback" is mufflers and tailpipes.

As far as i know it will work, its the same kind of joints.
