I'm surprised they said anything. Last month at Englishtown, tech said NHRA approved a Street Legal class... No roll bar until 10.00... Provided you only had bolt-ons...(no aftermarket power adders, or cams etc.)..Headers, gears, drag radials, and Air intakes are acceptable... Usually they would give me a hard time there, so I was relieved..

how much would ported heads cost?
not cheap, I tell you that lol
Boss ported heads are the best value IMO, they have all the good stuff in them already, no core, brand new, I paid $2400 for mine ready to bolt on. Shop around, you can do pretty decent if you look.
