Well after 4 days in the shop I finally got my Mach back. They fixed the front end squeak and my passenger seat rub. From what I understand, the fix for the seat rub involves some shim on the side bolster which moves it away from the door. I'm guessing they had to take the seatcover off, and now that its finished the seat covers do not fit right at all!!!! The leather is all wrinkled now and looks like crap. It's loose on both side bolsters and you can literally pull an inch or so of slack with your fingers. I brought this to the attention of the service manager and he said when the car is brought back in for the cylinder head, they will "take care of it" I don't know if that means they are gonna try to reseat the cover or what. I'm thinking now that the side bolster is repositioned, it won't have the same amount of resistance against the seat covers as it did originally. Maybe I can get away with a whole new seat cover or maybe a seat? Oh yes....my left cylinder head is being replaced as well. I got a call two days ago saying they were just gonna replace the cylinder head gasket, but when I came to pick the car up today, I guess the Ford Hotline said to just to the whole cylinder head all together. In a way that makes me feel a lot better, seeing as how a lot of others with the tick are getting the same fix and mine wont be just a half-assed attempt. On the other hand I don't like the idea of Ford taking my engine apart, regardless of whether or not its just a cylinder head.
