Finally ended my quest for 12's!!

Yup, thats right.. went to the track today despite my nitrous not working and not getting my suspension done.. it was my last chance and I wasnt going to miss it!

ran 5 times during the day, with only 1 13 sec pass... that was my second run at a 13.1 @106.60 .. had traction issues..

started the day off with a [email protected] .. then went to a [email protected].. followed that run up with a [email protected] and finally ended up with this run:

I was pretty excited about the numbers.. my previous best was back to back 13.0's at 106 and change.. only new mods are eibach drag springs, upr lower control arms and the telstar wheels w/ mt et street radials (amazing tires!!)

I also got dyno numbers at school the other day.. 100* day, but put down 268rwhp and 266rwtq .. and running mid 12's! not bad!!

you got that right! Only thing I was missing were the lakewood 70/30's, superior axles and upr uppers.. then I would have shot for a 12.50..

Original plan was to hit mid 11's on a 100 shot, but the car ran really lean when I tried to spray.

weight should check in about 3150 w/o me.. i was almost empty on gas..

no real secret to get them to hook.. actually, I ran at 30psi in the tires!! Thats just how good they hook.. i was even getting low 1.8 60's w/ 40psi! these things are amazing! they even hook when cold, on a cold unprepped street at 4k! just a chrip and they're off..

well, the wheels and tires were worth 117lbs.. plus over 60lbs out of the trunk.. no mach dech, spare or jack.. alum ds and fw, the exhaust...

not alot actually.. just make sure your running really low on gas..

i figure there is another 175lbs or so w/ a tube front end, c/o's front and rear, race seats, rear seat delete, light battery and no swaybar..

Up around here, LS1's with bolt ons are having a hard time running yourworst pass of the evening. Also can you verify the 4:30's,. and u coming out at the top of 4th?

Nice!! You found what escaped me this weekend!

At the local annual Ford event (Ford Fever @ MIR), I only got 3 passes this weekend:cuss: . Just put in 31 spline axles and Steeda upper and lower control arms, the rest of my mods are in my sig.

This was the first time running on Drag Radials (BFG, 275/40/17 w/ 14psi on my stock '98 Cobra wheels in the rear, '04 Chrome Cobra's up front), so I knew I'd have to play with the launch a bit.

My previous best was 13.27 @ 108.xx on Goodyear F-1's and stock C/A's, so I was now looking for 12's.

My 3 passes are as follows:

1.92 60'.......13.25 @ 107.2 mph

1.85 60'.......13.13 @ 108.6 mph

1.88 60'.......13.08 @ 108.3 mph

With me in it the car was hitting the scales at 3620 (it's a vert, spare out, other than an aluminum FW no other weight reduction, I weigh 179), with very little gas in the tank.

I need to work on that 60', a lower 1.8 or any 1.7 is gonna be my 12 sec pass!

Who makes the Telstar skinnies you have and what do they run as far as ballpark price?

yes, I do have 4.30 gears.. and the eibach springs lower the rear about a 1/2 inch.. the fronts actually raise the front.. to compensate for that, i cut 1/2 coil off the fronts.. I love them.. the just shoot the car back.. and yes, crystal svt, I do have upr lower.. stock uppers though.

Doing too big of a burnout will actually hurt you more then it helps so make sure your only doing a quick 3-4 second burnout.
