Sometimes when pulling into my driveway I will have the car in gear, clutch fully engaged and will coast in. When I do this, I hear a grinding sound coming from underneath my shifter. I'm assuming this is just some chatter from my stock clutch & flywheel????

Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

It the grinding a tickety-tickety-tickety sound, almost like tapping noise? Or is it more like a metal to metal sound?

Tickety tickety is a loose steering rack.

Metal to metal like marbles in a can is normal.

Metal to metal like a belt sander is something else. First, adjust the clutch. If the noise is still there, I would assume it could be a Throwout bearing, bent finger on the clutch, or a broken synchro for the gear you have it in. Have the dealer take a looksie.

I think I have the same noise,, It happens after I drive an hour home from work (so the car is hot). I hear a gurgle grind type noise just under the shifter..hummmm?

Hmm...

Mine has a similar noise (i think). Tranny out of gear, clutch pedal released. low grindy-rumbly noise.

It's done it since day 1. I thought it was TOB noise, but its not squealing like some other folks. It hasn't gotten any worse, so I'm not worried about it.

Low grumbly noise is normal gear rollover, and will get louder as the car warms up.:)
