Factory front plate bracket

Hey guys, I've got the factory front plate bracket on my 03. My question is, has anyone ever removed this? Any troubles I'll run into? I'm worried about what it looks like beneath the bracket. Its obviously going to have drilled holes, in which I'll worry about later. I just wanted to remove the bracket but also was wondering how I can reinstall it, if the condition of the bumper is in bad shape. Does the entire bumper need to come off to replace this front bracket? It appears to have plastic type pins holding it in. So they just get broken off to remove the bracket?

You can take it off holes will be there. Don't know how strict your state is. It's required in mine but I don't have one and have never been hassled. It's not a D.D. Either. Have the holes filled eventually and it spayed and blended it will look so much better.

MA requires front plates, but on my 01 I was never hassled without a front plate so, I'm going to chance it.

Will the front bumper need to come off to remove this bracket?
