Factory battery insulator questions

Does any SVT Cobra owner recall their vehicle coming with a factory installed battery insulator (sometimes referred to as a battery blanket or heat shield)?

It slides over the battery, is made of a black material, and is padded. It looks similar to the attached image.

Was this only included on vehicles sold in colder climates, or was it supposed to
come with ALL vehicles?

My 98 still has it. It's dry rotted in a couple spots, but it's there

Makes sense about the cold weather climates. My ‘98 originally from IA/IL has it and my ‘96 from GA/FL does not.
