Well I saw Ken03HBGTvert's new inlet on Modularfords so I made my own for my 1.7. It may not look as good as his but think it turned out pretty good. I made it so the TB is in almost the exact same posistion/angle as an 03/04 cobra.. The only difference is mine sits a little higher so I can remove my aeromotive fuel rails without removing the inlet.

In the process of tuning now. It takes some extra effort with the dashpot bc this thing flows soo much more air. should be don tuning this week.

That is so cool man. I've always wanted a bigger inlet/throttle body for my 1.7. Are you going to be able to pulley it for more then 14psi now that the inlet is no longer a restriction? If so what pulley combo are you going with?
Looking forward to the results.

ive got a 14 psi pulley i will be running with the new motor. Im still on the stock motor. I have a feeling with the new inlet im close to the limits. (430rwhp)

Got done with tuning yesterday, hoping to get it on a dyno here soon. I will post results when i do.

wow, that looks sick. great fab work!
you could probably use the new jlt high boost kit as well.

yeah i have the "old" JLT CAI now. the new one requires a lager MAF Im using the BA2400. I believe the new high boost hit calls for a BA2800 ore larger?

Yeah you can use both the 2800 and 3000.
Are you going to paint or powdercoate it?

thought about it, but i think i will leave it bare for now, it matches my intercooler tank, and my new motor will have fab'ed valve covers as well so it should all come together nicely.

Update:

Blew the stock motor. Had the IAC tube come odff the CAI resulting in a huge vacuum leak and at WOT thats no good. made a big mess fo the block and rods.

Anywho, new motor is in and tuned, and makes power all the way to 7k rpm

Forged bottom, TFS heads, stage 3 blower cams for the tfs heads, stock compression. pulls very hard.

here is a short pull. im short shifting and shifting a little slower then normal because im getting used to the WOT box. Which is not being used in this vid
