F/P gauge help

I installed an Autometer Electric F/P gauge in my cobra the other day. All connections were made per the instructions and I have no leaks. I am concerned about how the fuel pressure is reading. At Idle it reads at about 26-28 psi. With a quick blip of throttle to raise the rpm to about 3k the pressure rises to around 50 psi.When the car gets back to idle the presuure falls to about 18 psi then back up to 26-28 psi. Does this sound normal? Any help would be great. Thanks

YES, this is NORMAL. I have one in my 03 Cobra too.
