I finally went to the Rons Performance and bought another pack of Autometer ring gauges. I absolutely love these things. There are so many neat things you can do with them. After epoxying my other ring to the Expedition console piece I was left with this:
After the epoxy dried it was time to fit the gauges:
I had to trim on the corner of one of the gauges due to them being mounted at an angle. After I was satisfied with how the gauges fit it was time to get down to the dirty work. I applied small coats of Bondo due to this stuff drying so fast in the high 80 degree temperature we have right now. Here's what it looked like after a couple of coats:
Here's another picture after a several more coats of Bondo:
I still have to do more coats of Bondo and then sand everything down. I'm sure I'll have more filling to do after that. After I'm happy with everything the console piece will be painted gloss black. More pictures to follow....
