I have general exhaust questions about the SVT Contour.

I'm not very knowlegeable about cars so bear with me please...

What does the Y-Pipe connect? Does it connect to the bottom of the headers and then out towards the cat?

Does the SVT have one muffler with to outlet pipes(dual exhaust pipes) or does it actually have a muffler for each tailpipe?

A SVT Contour Exhuast is a 2-1-2(Quasi). Meaning from your Stock Manifold from the engine(Headers), each 3-3(V-6 engine) outlets from the engine come into 2 pipes that then go into one, Hence the Y-pipe. The Y-pipe holds your Cats, from the Y-pipe, the single end goes into a straight line pipe out towards the back of your car, where another So-called Y-pipe begins, from there the Y seperates into 2 seperate mufflers, one going on the right side, and the other out the left side.

So it sorta looks like this

O = Engine
Y = Y-pipe W.cats
I = Straight pipe
/\ = Rear Ypipe with mufflers
