Exhaust Valve Seat Issue

Hey guys, I recently purchased a "99 cobra" engine for 400 bucks. After tearing it down, i noticed it actually had DB heads (Hell Yeah) and a WAP block. Do the 9 thread DB heads still have the exhaust valve seat issue that plagues the 03/04 cobras? I wasn't planning to get them redone, but if it is still a relevant issue with them then i'll get them replaced. Thanks.

If you're wondering, I sold the block for $320, so i have 9 thread heads for 80 bucks lol.

A lot of good info in the link posted above. From what I understand, some of the DB heads can get the tick. The DC head was the final revision. I would recommend a good head cooling mod. Also not a bad idea to send the heads to a machine shop just to have them checked out. It would be a total bummer to install them and fire the engine just to have the tick already there. Might as well get them checked if you plan on using them.
