do the exhaust manifolds warp in these trucks? the rt side is doing the ticking but its so faint i can only hear it when i give any throttle besides something (echo). i replaced the gasket already and am hoping its a warped exhaust manifold. autozone has them for 109. just wondering if its worth it...

IMO I'd first check that you don't have a loose spark plug.

IMO the iron manifold would not be warped...

I had a F150 that had a issue like yours, turned out to be one of the spark plugs had been over torqued and finally ended up loose. (Stripped threads)

ive eliminated the plugs. did the gasket. so my only other option is order a new manifold. i even rechecked the manifold to make sure it seated in place 3 times.
