If I have an exhaust leak at the manifold (passenger side) do I have to drop the transmission to get at the leak, I.e. take off the manifold? Does the manifold have a gasket that would need to be replaced? I am trying to decide what additional work I may do i.e. the cooling mod and possibly a clutch up grade if I have to drop the tranny. I have also read that for most applications and upgrades there is no need to switch to headers. Is this still the consensus? Regardless, I will be replacing full exhaust with magnaflow when I fix the exhaust leak.

Wrong forum, but you can just drop the h-pipe. yes it does take a gasket )only pass side). You do NOT have to remove anything else.
