Exhaust Leak Question?

So I put a Lethal ORX on my 5.0 and I have one or two very small exhaust leaks. They are NOT at the manifold. The leaks are after the o2 sensor where the cat delete pipe meets the x merge. Car runs great, no issues at all. You cant even hear any leaks. You can just see a little bit of soot leaking from the connection. So I took it to a local performance shop someone could look at it and fix it. The owner looked it over and said the leaks were perfectly fine and he would not worry about it... any thoughts?

Ya I 100% agree. I took it in yesterday to have it welded but they didnt see any reason too...

i dont know a lot about exhaust flow but i would think a like might affect scavenging.

Its possible... The guy at the shop said since it is after the O2s and silent, there would be no negative effects or need to weld it....

do you have the 3 piece version? i would try to adjust it and maybe tighten it a bit more to try and close the leaks if it really bothers you. maybe some gasket sealant around the area?

Ya I'm about ready to use some Copper RTV and call it a day

I put my whole 92 5.0 twin turbo setup together with copper rtv, headers and all.
I would think a dab of that should make you sleep good at night.
