We've all seen them. the cars that puff out large amounts of smoke. either from a traffic light or just cruising down the road. you can tell that they are burning serious amounts of oil and or antifreeze.

Do any of you L.E.O.'s pull them over for that? what happens?

I didn't ticket the guy, but told him to park it. I told him it couldn't be driven until it was fixed, so call a tow truck. The car sat for over a week, but the tow truck finally came. I hated to do that to him, but you gotta keep your car in working order...

Had one guy towed because his car was spewing liquid oil out the pipes. I felt guilty, but thats an honest to god road hazard. Especially when your trying to land military aircraft on that same stretch of asphault lol.

Ive written fix it tickets to people with the smoking cars. Only in serious situations. In Florida, we dont have inspections anymore, so it is up to LEOs to enforce these problems.
