Engine swap

I recently got an 84 GT t-top 5.0 5 speed but the engine is no good. I also have a 95 GT 5.0 Auto I was thinking of swaping the engine from the 95 the 84 since the 95 is crashed. My question is if I need a different ECU if I am going to use the 5 spd transmission or anything else that I might need. I know they are not cobras but I don't know of any other mustang sites since just recently got these stangs and been posting here on the Lightning section.

They get ton's of traffic over there so you may be able to pick a few guys brains.

If you have the entire 95' use everthing you possibly can including the ECU, wiring harness and associated relays. I don't believe that ECU will cause you any issues with that year, but maybe someone else could chime in.

Swap the motor, no problem...just put the 84's carb and intake on it

Straight up swap, you just need a 85 roller cam distributor gear put on the 84 distributor since that 84 engine did not have a steel roller cam like the 85-95 5.0 liter engines do. Hermann
