how likely is it to blow an engine with 4 lb pulley, sct 3000 maf, headers, no cats, magnaflow cat back, cold air, boost bypass. I saw this video of a lightning blowing his engine, He has an a/f guage and he was running a little rich, i saw it dip down to 10.8 right before the engine went. so if he wasnt running too lean, he shouldnt have had detonation. So did he just have to much power and throw a rod? i was hoping to shoot for the 400 rwhp mark. is 400 rwhp safe? also. Is it the power level that makes it throw the rod. Or is it just the load on the truck and the rate of acceleration itself. some lightnings i have seen with 380-400 hp and the right suspension setup, with a stall convertor have dipped to 12.2 range in the 1/4 under the right conditions of course. Anyone have any input on this. I would appreciate it.

It's not very likely is it to blow an engine with 4 lb pulley. It can happen if its not tuned right or you are doing dumb stuff. A SCT 3000 seems like over kill.
