Guys & Gals,

I was changing the oil in my 04 Cobra this past weekend and noticed the engine ground strap was no longer attached. It is located right over the oil filter, directly behind the alternator. Does anybody know where this ground is supposed to tie to the body of the car? I cannot see where it was originally attached and don't want to have something electrically go haywire because I lost a ground.

Any advice from all the experts out there?

Thanks,

Dave

It bolts to the frame directly in front of the K member. I'd get a new one from Ford and reconnect. BTW owning a bone stock cobra puts you in the minority on here. Fly that stock flag with pride

Thank You. I do see a hole in the frame right where you describe. It looks as if the bolt wasn't tight and worked it's way back out. I'll get a fastener and tie it back.

Thanks Again,

Dave
