Engine Assembly and RTV

I’m about to start putting my engine back together and I’m wondering if there are specific locations that RTV is used in the assembly. I know on all of the old Windsor small blocks there were many places which RTV was needed to ensure a good leak free seal, but this is my first mod motor so I’m wondering if the same applies.

The seams where the timing cover, engine block, and valve covers meet. Same for where the oil pan, block, and timing cover meet. I want to say I used it for the rear main seal adapter where it bolted to the block. And also where that adapter meets the oil pan. I use it between the grommets for the spark plug holes and valve covers as well.

Yep^ Anywhere a gasket has to bridge a seam. Ultra black.
