Egr gasket

I removed my blower for porting. Took the egr off as instructed in the "how to" section. Well I don't think there was a gasket. It's almost like a flakey residue. My question is should there be a gasket ? Can I buy one? Make one? Or just use rtv?

yes there should be a gasket...I have an 01 when i bought my intake spacer it came with a new egr gasket but as far as buying one you could try ford, ebay, or make one with gasket material. rtv would prolly do the job too

The Ford/Lincoln/mercury EGR gaskets have been interchangable for years. Any auto parts store will carry them. It is not a paper gasket, so you probably won't be making your own.
