Should there be a gasket between the snout and the rest of the Eaton housing? My snout bearings are toast. When I took it off to replace it with a rebuilt snout I noted there was no gasket between the snout and the Eaton casing. I won't install the new one until I find out about the gasket as it seems rather odd that there isn't one given this area holds the oil for the Eaton.
