Long story short -

What SC oil to use with Whipple 2.9

Hi everyone was wondering if I can get some input on what SC oil to use on my Gen4 Whipple. The manual states use ONLY, Whipple SC oil. However I see recommendations that approve GM and Motorcraft XL-4, that little bottle of Motorcraft Oil is crazy expensive 4.0 ounces $55 o_O

GM part# 12345982 is the cheapest choice, at least in the past. $12.30 at amazon. 4oz

Same stuff as the Motorcraft.

I have used the GM SC oil on a few SC's.
Same stuff less cost.

I have always used AC Delco Blower oil on the stock units and VMP unit. No issues and I change around 30K. Just make sure you put in the correct amount and suck out as much of the old as you can. I know on many of the VMP units they changed the original amount required and the procedure - you don't just fill it until some comes out. So verify how much you are really supposed to use in your SC. I order extra to have a spare fill since this stuff is hard to get sometimes when you really need it - have it before you remove the old oil!
